From skincare to menopause, we'll share honest conversations of midlife women's health

Let me know if you've ever heard this in the patient room: “It’s just a phase, deal with it.”
Let’s set the record straight: menopause is not just a phase to silently push through or “deal with.”
It isn’t something to “just get through.”
It’s a major life transition that deserves education, empowerment, and real support. It’s a complex, life-altering transition that deserves education, empowerment, and real support.
I hear it all the time in my clinic in Aurora, women don’t want band-aid solutions or 10-minute visits. They want tools, community, and an actual strategy for thriving for now and in the years ahead.
Here’s what I've learned about working with women going through menopause (so far)— and the menopause myths we’re busting along the way:

1. Menopause Myth: “You’ll figure it out as you go.”
Truth: Women want real, evidence-based information, not vague advice or outdated assumptions. Understanding what’s happening in your body shouldn’t be a guessing game.
We take a look at the numbers in your lab work, track symptoms, and plan for what's to come. Because guessing isn't a strategy.
2. Menopause Myth: “You’re in this alone.”
Truth: Women crave connection. We want a community that lifts each other up, shares stories, and helps each other feel seen, heard, and supported. It's in our nature.
I try to create that community through my in-person events. You can sign up for my next one on November 27th, here.
3. Menopause Myth: “Just treat the hot flashes and move on.”
Truth: Menopause is about more than short-term symptom relief. Women want a long-term plan for their health, energy, and vitality, from hormones to heart health to bone strength.
4. Menopause Myth: “Getting older means losing control.”
Truth: Women are done with that narrative. They want to age on their own terms — with strength, confidence, and autonomy over their choices. Women live half of their lives during and on the other side of the menopause transition. That's a long time to not be in control of your health and your life.
It's time to change that narrative and demystify this phase of life for many women out there.
Menopause Myth: “You’re past your prime, just fade into the background.”
Women are the backbone of community. We want to be visible, vibrant, and valuable, and not just for ourselves, but to serve as role models for the next generation.
We're showing younger women what empowered aging looks like. And that's what makes me show up every single day in clinic.
Ready to dive into real, unfiltered, menopause care?
My work is always filled with honesty, insight, and a whole lot of heart. When women feel better, they do better, and the energy we share proves that change is already happening.
Let’s keep busting these myths, keep supporting each other, and build the action plan we all deserve.
Let's not end the conversation here, book a visit below. I see patients in-person at my clinic in Aurora, Ontario, or virtually, anywhere in Ontario, Canada.
